To stop German expansion

Explanation:

Japan is not in Europe so that one is automatically off and since the allies were the ones who were attacked they did not mean to gain territory.

Stalin called for another European front for years. By the time that the front in France was opened the Germans were already on the retreat and broken.

Germany expanded into France, Poland, Scandinavia, central Europe and started to go deep into the USSR so they needed to stop them.
