A Room of One's Own discusses major themes, such as financial and intellectual freedom, women and society and creating a legacy for women writers. The writer tries to convey these themes through the character named Judith Shakespeare. Unlike her brother William, Judith faces difficulties in her carrier due to her gender. The writer applies her thought process through the development of the character around those above mentioned themes.
