Yes, you can because professional athletes in my opinion push there body to hard. There is such thing as being to fit. Yes, you get nice arms or legs but they also have heath problems later on in life.

Your question is essentially asking, can you be fat and fit at the same time. The answer is yes. Physical fitness has little to do with your appearance (in certain instances). If your heart is healthy and if you are strong and functional your appearance is negligible. There are a lot of “heavy” people that can run long distances and have a great physiological profile. That is, normal blood sugar, low resting heart rate, etc.

6. Why is the orientation of the muscles in the stomach wall important?
QveST [7]

Answer: The orientation of the muscles in the abdominal wall is important to enclose and protect abdominal contents.

Explanation: The anterolateral musculoaponeurotic walls are suspended between and supported by two bony rings; thoracic skeleton superiorly and pelvic girdle inferiorly, which are linked by a semirigid lumbar vertebral column in the posterior abdominal wall. This orientation enables the abdomen to enclose and protect abdominal contents while providing the flexibility required by posture, locomotion and respiration.
