The <em>correct answer</em> is:

A) There is a vertical shift of n units.

Explanation:

When a parent function is transformed, each type of transformation results ina different change in the graph.

The parent function in this question is f(x) = sin(x).

Adding n units to the end of this function would result in f(x) = sin(x) + n.

When a function is transformed by adding a constant to the end of a function results in a vertical shift by that number of units. In this case, it would be a vertical shift n units.

That's incorrect. The correct answer is A. There is a vertical shift of <em>n </em>units.
(I will be taking the test in a little while to check).

Edit: (a) <u>IS</u> <u>CORRECT</u>. <em></em>

Find an equation for the line that passes through the points ( 3,−6) and (−5,−2) .
galina1969 [7]
The equation would be y = -1/2 - 9/2

I'm not the -9/2 is 100% correct because I didn't use a coordinate grid to do it, I made a graph myself, so 4 1/2 is a rough estimate of what the y intercept would be.
