Jackie is writing a speech that claims that students should sell fruit instead of candy for the school fundraiser. In her speech

, Jackie wants to rebut the counterclaim that “students should sell candy like last year.” Which is the best rebuttal that Jackie could use in her speech? I know that we sold candy last year, but we don’t always have to sell candy every year we have a school fundraiser. We could try selling something different this year, like fruit. Last year we sold several thousand dollars worth of candy, and all you students ate that candy, which is probably why you want to sell candy again this year. But I don’t think that’s a good reason. I know a lot of students want to sell candy like last year, but fruit tastes sweet too and is better for us. Isn’t the country trying to encourage healthier eating these days? Last year I sold a lot of candy, just like you did, and we made a lot of money for the school. But I felt guilty selling so much candy to little kids whose teeth would rot and who might have gotten sick from eating all that candy. Don’t kids get enough candy as it is?

gavmur [86]
The Duke is conversing with an emissary of a tally. The Duke is attempting to wed the check's little girl, so he is endeavoring to awe the emissary. In portraying the sketch of his latest duchess, he imparts more about himself than he does of his late spouse. He takes note of that the Duchess' look of "euphoria" in the work of art is not on the grounds that he was available amid the artistic creation.
