4. Overall, there are 45 students.

13 students achieved a mark over 65

\frac{13}{45} *100 = 29%

Therefore the answer is b. 29%

5. b is incorrect.

This is because retrievers account for 10% of the dogs, not 15%.

100%-(35% + 45% + 10%) = 10%

7. Determine the measures of the two angles that are not 90° in the diagram below. Show your
nekit [7.7K]

First we need to assume that the sum of the angles is also 180°. if one is less than 90°, the other will be more. we can do this because in a plane 4-sided polygon the sum of the inner angles will always be 360°, and we already know the two angles on the right side

so we can say that:

3x + 20 + x = 180

Since we got only one variable in this equation, we can already solve for x.

4x + 20 = 180

4x = 160

x = 40

the lower left angle is just 40°

the upper left is three times that plus 20, so it's 160°

hope this helps you to get the method

The function h = -t^2 + 95 models the path of a ball thrown by a boy where h represents height, in feet, and t represents the ti
UkoKoshka [18]
Plug in t = 0. This is the same as replacing every copy of 't' with '0'. After that you evaluate

h = -t^2 + 95
h = -(t)^2 + 95
h = -(0)^2 + 95
h = 0 + 95
h = 95

So when the time is t = 0 seconds, the height of the ball is 95 feet. A likely location is that the boy is on top of a very tall building (roughly 95 feet or so) when he threw this ball into the air.
