The nurse assesses a responsive adult and determines she is choking. Which intervention should the nurse implement?.
Thepotemich [5.8K]

Answer:

When a child is choking and can't breathe or speak, you MUST give abdominal thrusts (the Heimlich maneuver). The Heimlich maneuver pushes air from the child's lungs which helps to remove the blocking object. You should give abdominal thrusts until the object is forced out or the victim becomes unresponsive.

The difference between the amount of sleep attained and the amount needed to maintain alert wakefulness during the daytime, when
Anni [7]

Answer:

Sleep debt

Explanation:

Sleep debt is the name given to the difference between the amount of sleep the human body needs to rest and the amount of sleep individuals can get from day to day commitments. It can also be defined as the difference between the amount of sleep achieved and the amount needed to keep vigil alert during the day when the amount reached is less than the amount needed.

Decreased sleep for various reasons creates a kind of debt to the body that can hardly be paid. This debt alters the body by weakening the immune system, inducing the person to have diabetes, morbid obesity, heart disease, memory impairment, poor concentration, vision problems, and sleep that never goes away.  Such manifestations resulting from sleep debt may occur in the short and long term, depending on the individual's rhythm of life and the debt they have with the body. As this debt increases, so do the signals.

Please I don't Understand WORTH 100 POINTS
bixtya [17]
There’s no way you can fully get rid of anxiety, but there’s way you can make yourself feel better. stress is probably one of your main problems. especially for the finals. i understand the finals may seem scary but comparing them to the rest of your grades in the grade book they’re only worth around 100 out of 1000 points. Friends come and go and i understand that they’re close. but maybe you could get their parents numbers and figure out how to hang out over summer, or send each other letters like in a fun way, like they did back then. i hope this helped

Next, wash the injury under cool, clear water. You can utilize cleanser painstakingly on the zone around the damage, yet don't wash the harm itself, as that could prompt aggravation.</span>
