But y intercept would be 550 then multiply 8 by 6to get 48
So your answer should be $598 in 6 years

A triangle with vertices located at (−2, −2) and (4, −2) has an area of 24 square units. Which is one possible location of the o
sladkih [1.3K]

Answer: A) (4, 6)

Step-by-step explanation:

1. You can plot the given points (-2,-2) and (4,-2), as you can see in the first graph attached.

2. The formula for calculate the area of a triangle is:

A=\frac{bh}{2}

Where<em> b</em> is the base and <em>h</em> is the height.

3. As you can see in the first graph, the lenght of the base is:

b=6units

So, you must solve for the heigth:

h=\frac{2A}{b}=\frac{2(24units^{2})}{6units}=8units

3. Add 8 to the y-coordinate of both points given in the problem to know the coordinates of the other vertex:

(-2,-2+8)=(-2,6) (This is not an option)

(4,-2+8)=(4,6) (Option A. This is the answer).

4. Then, the triangle is shown in the second graph.

a small business has an average income of 3000 per month with a standard deviation of 250. if the income in a given month is 330
Vika [28.1K]

Answer:

<u>The correct answer is z = 1.2</u>

Step-by-step explanation:

μ or average income = US$ 3,000

σ or standard deviation = US$ 250

Income in a given month = US$ 3,300

For calculating the z score, we use the following formula:

z = (x – μ) / σ

z = (3,300 – 3,000 / 250)

z = 300/250

z = 6/5 = 1.2

Interpreting z

A Z score tells us how many units of standard deviation (1.2 in this case)from the average a given score is, that is, we do not count in quantity of points, but in quantities of standard deviations. To use the Z score we require the distribution to be normal and to know the average and standard deviation of the scores.
