Answer:  Happened when the United States invaded Japan in 1853, forcing trade.

This changed the whole way Japan worked and its system changed from feudal to imperialist.

After the Meiji Revolution, was installed the Constitutional Monarchy which prevailed until the end of World War II. With the establishment of the Empire, the Japanese territory began to undergo a rapid modernization of the political and social institutions of the other fields. There have been significant advances also in the area of ​​Education, as well as in the economy, with a deep industrial investment.
