The correct answer is D. Waterloo.

Explanation

The Battle of Waterloo (1815) was a dispute that confronted the French troops led by Napoleon Bonaparte against the coalition troops that grouped England, Holland, Russia, and Prussia. This battle resulted in the destruction of the French army and later the French Imperial Guard (which had been invincible in the previous wars disputed by Napoleon), as this was forced to retreat, which led to widespread fear in the French army and finally an imminent and definite withdrawal. Besides this, after the battle, Napoleon was captured and exiled on the island of Santa Helena where he died six years later ending definitely with Napoleon's reign. So, the correct answer is D. Waterloo.
