New rules have been defined to maintain privacy on the data of patients.

Explanation:

If we take the development of "Health care industry", previously the patience used to keep track of their own record simply in terms of file and they preserve and bring those and shows to physician on their visit. Later on, the burden was taken care by hospital by maintaining those in a computerized format. So this technology innovation needs privacy about the below terms,

 • Patients personal record needs to be confidential
 • To maintain "bio-ethic" principle
 • Disclosing of information lead to disappointment, discrimination, affecting dignity, may avoid good rapport between physician and patient, etc

So these gave rise to place new rules to protect health information.
