m∠R = 27.03°

Solution:

Given In ΔQRP, p = 28 km, q = 17 km, r = 15 km

To find the measure of angle R:

Law of cosine formula for ΔQRP:

r^{2}=p^{2}+q^{2}-2 pq \cos R

Substitute the given values in the above formula.

(15)^{2}=(28)^{2}+(17)^{2}-2 (28)(17) \cos R

225=784+289-952 \cos R

225=1073-952 \cos R

Switch the given equation.

1073-952 \cos R=225

Subtract 1073 from both side of the equation.

-952 \cos R=-848

Divide by –952 on both sides.

$ \cos R=\frac{106}{119}

$  R=\cos^{-1} \left(\frac{106}{119}\right)

R=27.03^\circ

Hence m∠R = 27.03°.

How many gallons of paint are required to paint the walls of a building having l= 50 ft w= 40 ft. h =80ft.
Brums [2.3K]
50*40*80=160000 to find the total square feet

then you divide 160000/500 to figure out the total amount of gallons of paint you need

you need 320 gallons of paint

Mike said last week I ran 15 miles further than Bell. Pete said last week I ran 1 mile less than three times as far as Bill. If
disa [49]

Answer:

The distance cover by Bell is 8 miles .

Step-by-step explanation:

Given as :

The distance cover by Mike = The distance cover by Pete = D miles

Let The distance cover by Bell = d miles

The distance cover by Mike = 15 miles + distance cover by Bell

i.e D = 15 + d            ............1

Again

The distance cover by Pete = three time distance cover by Bell - 1 miles

i.e D = 3 × B - 1

Or, D = 3 d - 1           ............2

Now, Solving equation 1 and 2

So, 15 + d = 3 d - 1

Or, 3 d - d = 15 + 1

Or, 2 d = 16

∴   d = \dfrac{16}{2}

i.e d = 8 miles

So,The distance cover by Bell = d = 8 miles

Hence, The distance cover by Bell is 8 miles . Answer
