1/4  x 4/7
do the top numbers first. 1 x 4 is 4do bottom numbers next 4 x 7 is 28

that leaves you with 4/28. But you have to reduce.

4/28 = 2/14 = 1/7 (notice I just cut both the top and bottom numbers in half each time I reduced until I couldn't reduce any more).
So, final answer is 1/7

1/4*4/7= 1/7
If you want the simplest answer you should first cross out the 2 fours and put them as one because they both have a factor of 4 and go into 4, 4 times, so 1*1 is 1 and 7*1 is 7 that 1/7.

What is the degree of polynomial 3x⁴-4x³y+6x²y²-8x²y³-7y⁴+2
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

5

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the degree of each monomial term of the polynomial. The highest degree is the answer.

deg(3x^4)=4

deg(-4x^3y)=3+1=4

deg(6x^2y^2)=2+2=4

deg(-8x^2y^3)=2+3=5

deg(-7y^4)=4

deg(2)=0

The highest degree there is 5 so that is the degree of the polynomial.

Is this right? I’m confused for answering either B or C.
boyakko [2]

your profile says you're 22 but I find that painfully challenging to believe. She knits 5 scarves in 2 hours. Divide 10 by 2, you get 5. 5x5 is 25. It's C. You shouldn't need help. This is sad.

A dragonfly flies 7/8 of a mile in 3/10 of an hour. At this rate, how far can the dragonfly fly in 1 hour?
Rainbow [258]

Answer:The dragon fly can fly 35/12 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

Speed   =distance / time

If the distance A dragonfly flies 7/8 of a mile

And

Time  =3/10 of an hour.

Speed =7/ 8 ÷3/10 =7/ 8 x 10/3 =70/24  reducing to lowest term becomes 35/12 miles / hour

Now when the dragon fly flies in 1 hour, its distance covered becomes

Speed   =distance / time

35/12 miles / hour=distance / 1

distance =35/12 miles

A company shipped a certain amount of books to a school. The books

were shipped in large boxes that are 25 in. X 10 in. X 12 in. The books are

all 5 in. X 4 in. X 3in. How many of these books did the school receive if

there were 50 large boxes in the shipment?

the first step is figure out how many books fit in one box so here is how to calculate that!

(5 in.) x (4 in.) x (3 in.)                                           (25 in.) x (10 in.) x (12 in.)

=983 milliliters                                               =49 liters

so in that case how many milliliters can go into 49 liters? the answer is this 49,161 so divide that by the volume of the books

20 books should fit in each box

the school got a shipment of 1000 books

I hope this helps sry it took so long big equation oh and.....
