Answer: The answer is the law of conservation of energy.

Explanation:

Law of conservation of energy: It states that the energy is neither created nor destroyed. It can be transferred from one form to another.

According to the law of calorimetry, the total heat gain by the cold body is equal to the total heat loss by the hot body. There is no loss of heat in the surrounding. Heat is a form of energy. It is transferred only from one object to another.

Therefore, calorimetry depends on the law of conservation of energy.

Calorimetry is science. It is an act of measuring the amount of heat produced by a subject. The basic principle of calorimetry is the Law of conservation of energy: the sum of all energies must equal zero:
q1+q2+.....=0;
According to this Law, also it is important to note that heat going into a system is positive, and heat leaving the system is negative,

The length of the assembly decreases by 0.006 in. when an axial a- force is applied by means of rigid end plates. Determine
Triss [41]

Answer:

(a) The magnitude of the applied force is (0.0001524k) Newton

(b) Corresponding stress in the steel core = (0.0001524k/area) Newton per meter square

Explanation:

(a) From Hookes law of elasticity,

Force applied = force constant (k) × compression

compression = 0.006 in = 0.006 × 0.0254 = 0.0001524 meter

Force applied = k × 0.0001524 = (0.0001524k) Newton

(b) Stress = Force applied (Newton)/area of steel core (meter square) = (0.0001524k/area) Newton per meter square

Two samples of aluminum foil, 27 grams and 54 grams, are cut out from a roll. Which of the following properties is different for
Delicious77 [7]
Before answering this question, you must know the concept between extensive and intensive property. The extensive property does not depend on the amount of substance (like mass), which is the opposite of intensive properties. From the given choices, the rest are extensive properties except for amount of matter. Hence, that is the answer.
