The Versailles Treaty was signed on June 28, 1919 and was known to be the principal peace treaty signed after the First World War. This document was signed by the powers that formed the Triple Entente and by Germany. It was considered by historians as the “peace of the winners”, since the nations that had won.

The Versailles Treaty was one of the peace agreements signed with the end of the First World War. This conflict lasted from 1914 to 1918 and was the first major clash that marked the history of mankind. The First World War was the result of a combination of factors that contributed to create a climate of tension that broke out in 1914.

This war was the result of disputes caused by imperialism and rivalries motivated by revanchism and nationalism. The strengthening of rivalries and tensions in Europe in the beginning of the 20th century motivated nations to form military alliances and to invest in the production of weapons.

This was so effective that the USA was able to make up for time lost, and the nation was able to effectively train the necessary forces and then exert a massive material superiority.

America was able to build up an air force that came to dominate the skies, and with this air superiority, it was all but  over for the enemy, the Axis forces.
