Why are amoeba, paramecium, and euglena not classified as bacteria?

Because they fall under the category of kingdom protista....these organisms are eukaryotes (they have a definite nucleus)..therefore its not classified as bacteria because bacteria doesnt have a definite nucleus

Bacterias fall into the category of prokaryotes while amoeba, paramecium, and euglena are eukaryotic species.

All prokaryotic species are devoid of well defined cell structure, cell organelles and classifications while eukaryotes consists of well structured internal sphere of cell with cell organelles that are membrane bound and also consists of nucleus.

Thus amoeba, paramecium, and euglena can be considered as much evolved form of bacteria and thus they belong to kingdom protista.
