How did slave labor in the southern colonies differ from that in the middle and new england colonies? slaves worked fewer hours

in the southern colonies. slaves in the southern colonies usually had jobs other than farming. the southern colonies had more slave labor because of cash crops. settlers were not dependent on slaves for labor in the southern colonies.
