The light will be trapped inside a glass cage and be use by the plants in their photosynthesis. So if the earths will be affected by this technique, the gases from the atmosphere are mostly the reason that the light that is passes through it will not be the same that bounces back to the outer space. In a clearer way of explaining, the heat is trapped inside the earths atmosphere and may cause global warming inside of it.
