An invasive species is an animal or a plant that comes from another part of the world into another place where it is not originally from and it starts to grow or live there, invading the original or native species.

They are usually carried into other regions through ship ballast water and in most cases by people (through food from other countries or attached in clothes that were worn in another region)

The negative effect of these species is that can destroy the native species, cause extinction of the native species,harm the natural resources and affect how human use of these natural resources.

They are very competitive and can compete with the native species for limited resources hence they end up changing and disrupting the natural habitat of the native species. This affect the overall ecosystem and biodiversity.

The need for studying logic in general and critical thinking in particular for natural science students is to enable them to discover how things came to be in science.

<h3>What is Logic?</h3>

This refers to the use of both deductive and inductive reasoning to come to a conclusion about something based on available evidence.

Hence, we can see that for natural science students, their primary area of study is NOT in science, so it is an alien concept, but knowledge of logic would help them understand science and scientific method.
