United States

The two super powers had very different ideas of how Europe should be rebuilt. The United States naturally wanted Europe to be rebuilt along Democratic-Capitalist lines, while the Soviet Union, being a communist country, wanted Europe to be rebuilt along Marxist lines.

Soviet Union

The goal of the Soviet Union during the Cold War was to keep control of Eastern Europe, and to spread communism around the world.

According to the programme, "the main goals and guidelines of the CPSU's international policy" included ensuring favorable external conditions conducive to building communism in the Soviet Union; eliminating the threat of world war; disarmament; strengthening the world socialist system; developing equal and friendly .

The leaders of the Allies were Franklin Roosevelt (the United States), Winston Churchill (Great Britain), and Joseph Stalin (the Soviet Union). The common purpose of the Allies was to defeat the Axis powers and create a peaceful post-war world.

I hope I can help you :)

What is a political party, how many are there,<br> and how do they communicate their beliefs?
melomori [17]
A political party is an organized group of people who have the same ideology, or who otherwise have the same political positions, and who field candidates for elections.

There are two sides of the party- democrats and republicans.

Democrats support voting rights and minority rights, including LGBT rights, multiculturalism, and religious secularism.

Republicans believe that free markets and individual achievement are the primary factors behind economic prosperity. They also believe private spending is usually more efficient than government spending. Republicans generally oppose the estate tax.

Donald Trump is republican and Joe Biden is a Democrat

In 1997 vernon baker was awarded the medal of honor. how was this award historically significant
Bond [772]
Vernon Baker was the only living black veteran who was awarded the Medal of Valor for World War II.

Prior to the 1997 awarding of medals by President Bill Clinton, there had been 433 Medals of Valor awarded to military service members who fought in World War II ... but none of those medals had gone to any black service members.  An inquiry conducted in the 1990s found that an atmosphere of racism had prevented blacks from being recognized for heroic deeds in the war.  Ultimately seven black veterans were recommended for the Medal of Valor.  Six of those men had already died, so were awarded the medals after their deaths.  Vernon Baker was the only one of those seven black men honored with the Medal of Valor who was alive at the time of the awarding ceremony in 1997.
