Answer:

Rita spend \frac{5}{8} of hour more on her chemistry assignment.

Step-by-step explanation:

Fraction of an hour Rita spent on chemistry assignment = \frac{7}{8}

Fraction of an hour Rita spent on math assignment = \frac{1}{4}

∴ Fraction of  hour Rita spent more on her chemistry assignment than math assignment

⇒  \frac{7}{8}-\frac{1}{4}

To subtract fractions we take LCD for 4 and 8. Since 8 is the least common multiple for 4 and 8 so, we take LCD= 8

To make the denominators same we need to multiply numerator and denominator of second fraction with 2.

⇒ \frac{7}{8}-\frac{1\times2}{4\times2}

⇒ \frac{7}{8}-\frac{2}{8}

After making the denominators common, we simply subtract numerators.

⇒ \frac{7-2}{8}

⇒ \frac{5}{8}

Therefore, Rita spend \frac{5}{8} of hour more on her chemistry assignment.

Svetllana [295]

It's 1/2 gallon. Why? well, if you're doing I-Ready I suppose you seen 10 X's on that line plot. 10 divided by 5= 2 which is also one half. Why is it one half? Because half of ten is 5, and since I said I thought you were doing I-Ready, you would have to put it in a fraction.

Given a mean of 80 and a standard deviation of 3, label the normal curve below.
Sav [38]

Answer:

The points from the left;

71, 74 , 77, 80, 83, 86 , 89

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to label the normal curve given the mean and the standard deviation

From what we have, the central part is the mean while the other parts are deviations from the mean

We will label the graph starting from the left to the right

1 is 3 SD from the mean (negatively)

That will be 80-3(3) = 80-9 = 71

2 is 2 SD away

That will be;

80 -2(3) = 80-6 = 74

The 3rd part is 1 SD away

That will be 80-3 = 77

The midpoint is for the mean which is 80

The point after this will be;

80 + 3 = 83

The point after this will be;

83 + 3 = 86

Next is

86 + 3 = 89

Consider the probability that at least 93 out of 154 CDs will not be defective. Assume the probability that a given CD will not
Yuki888 [10]

Answer:

0.5962

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that :

p = 61% = 0.61

q = 1 - p = 1 - 0.61 = 0.39

n = 154 ; x = 93

Using the binomial probability formula :

P(x =x) = nCx * p^x * (1 - p)^(n - x)

P(x>=93) = p(x=93)+p(x=94)+...+p(x=n)

P(x>= 93) = 0.59619

P(x>= 93) = 0.5962
