Answer:

1. Lets say the student is 10 feet away from the tree. We can make a right triangle from the base of the tree, to his feet, to the top of the tree. Lets say the angle made from the base of the tree to his feet to the top of the tree equals 51°. We can use the angle and the distance between him and the tree to calculate the height.We have the length of the side adjacent to the angle and we are looking for the height which is the length of the side opposite of the angle. We will have to use the tangent (\frac{opposite}{adjacent}) of the angle to solve. So the tangent of 51 degrees is equal to the height divided by 10.

2. Solve for the length of the side opposite of the angle.

h= height

tan(51)=\frac{h}{10}\\10*tan(51)=\frac{h}{10} *10\\12.34897157=h\\h=12 ft.

The tree is approximately 12 feet tall.

10x⁴ and 6w³

1) We see no the same letters in both expressions, so we will need to include all letters in the final answer. x⁴w³

2) number part
10 = 2*5
6=3*2
We need 2*3*5=30  (we need 2 only one times, because we have 2 only one time in each of the numbers).
3)The least common multiple
2*3*5x⁴w³ = 30x⁴w³
Answer is  30x⁴w³.

What are the relative frequencies, to the nearest hundredth, of the rows of the two-way table?
sveta [45]

Answer:       A                 B

Group 1     0.25          0.75

Group 2    0.44          0.56

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we have given that

Number of people of A in group 1 = 15

Number of people of B in group 1 = 45

Total number of people in group 1 is given by

15+45=60

Relative frequency of people of A in Group 1 is given by

\frac{15}{60}=0.25

Relative frequency of people of B in Group 1 is given by

\frac{45}{60}=0.75

Similarly, Number of people of A in group 2 = 20

Number of people of B in group 2 = 25

Total number of people in group 2 is given by

20+25=45

Relative frequency of people of A in Group 2 is given by

\frac{20}{45}=0.44

Relative frequency of people of B in Group 2 is given by

\frac{25}{45}=0.56

Hence,        A                 B

Group 1     0.25          0.75

Group 2    0.44          0.56

What is the y-intercept for the below inequality?
san4es73 [151]

Answer:

The correct answer is C

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find the y-intercept, you need to first solve the inequality for y.

5x - 3y ≤ 15

-3y ≤ -5x + 15

y ≥ 5/3x - 5

Now we look at the constant at the end. Since that constant is -5, we know C to be the answer.
