Let the length of second side be x" ,

So,
Length of first side = 2" shorter than second = ( x - 2 )"
Length of third side = 5" longer than second = ( x + 5 )"

=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=×=

\text{Perimeter = sum of all sides  }

Given, perimeter = 33"

= > first side + second side + third side = 33"

= > ( x - 2 ) + x + ( x + 5 ) = 33

= > x - 2 + x + x + 5 = 33

= > 3x + 3 = 33

= > 3x = 30

= \:   >  x = \frac{30}{3}

= > x = 10

Hence, length of each side is

First side = ( x - 2 )" = ( 10 - 2 )" = 8 inches

Second side = x " = 10 inches

Third side = ( x + 5 )" = ( 10 + 5 )" = 15 inches

Yesterday I drove 150 minutes at a speed of 100 miles/h. How many miles did I drve?
krok68 [10]

Answer: 250 miles

Step-by-step explanation:

I am not sure what grade level you are, but this is how it is done in college.

I hope it can give you an idea and be of some help.

First you have to convert 150 minutes to hours. Then you multiply your new hours to 100 miles.

150 minutes x      1 hour      x       100 miles    = 250 miles

                           60 mins.              1 hour

Bily is helping to make piZzas for a school function. He's made 25 pizzas so far His principal asked him to make at least 30 piz
GrogVix [38]

The answer is Option B

We know that this inequality doesn't require any negative number division, there's no need to switch the ≤'s into ≥'s.

So now, all we have to do is subtract 25 from every number, giving us 5≤x≤50

Victoria correctly determined the area of this parallelogram by adding the areas of the rectangle and triangles.
adoni [48]

Answer:

56 m²

16 m²

88 m²

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for the area of a rectangle is:

A=L×W (area=length × width)

A=7×8

A=56m²

The formula for the area of triangle is:

1/2×b×h (1/2 × base × height)

A=1/2×4×8

A=2×8

A=16m²

For the total area you will now add the area of each shape. We will multiply triangle area by 2 because there is 2 triangles.

A=56+2(16)

A=56+32

A=88m²
