Answer:

For x = 3 or x = -3 h(x) =f(x)/g(x) is undefined.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given  : h(x) =f(x)/g(x) is undefined if f(x) = 5x + 1 and g(x) = x² - 9.

TO find : Find the values of x for which the combined function h(x) =f(x)/g(x) is undefined .

Solution : We have given that

f(x) = 5x + 1 and g(x) = x² - 9.

Function is undefined when denominator  of fraction is zero .

In h(x) =f(x)/g(x)

Here , g(x)  is the denominator then g(x) =0

x² - 9 = 0

On adding by 9 both sides

x² - 9 + 9 = +9.

x² = 9

Taking square root both sides

x = \sqrt{9}

x = ± 3

x = 3 , x = -3

Therefore, For x = 3 or x = -3 h(x) =f(x)/g(x) is undefined.

The length of a parking Lot is 5 yards more than the width. If the area of the parking lot is 66 square yards, find the dimensio
Brums [2.3K]

Answer:

  6 yards by 11 yards

Step-by-step explanation:

Factors of 66 are ...

  66 = 1·66 = 2·33 = 3·22 = 6·11

The last pair of factors differ by 5, so represent the solution to the problem.

The width of the parking lot is 6 yards; the length is 11 yards.

In a genetics experiment on peas, one sample of offspring contained 376green peas and 150yellow peas. Based on those results,
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

1a. p0= 0.714

1b The result is not reasonably close to the value of 3/4 that was expected

Step-by-step explanation:

1a.Since One sample of offspring contained 376 green peas and 150 yellow peas therefore the probability of getting an offspring pea that is green will be:

Green pea/(Green pea+ Yellow pea)

p0= 376 /(376+150)

p0=376/526

Probability of getting Green pea = 0.714

1b.The result is not reasonably close to the value of 3/4 that was expected.
