What is one way invasive species help the ecosystem?

Biology

Invasive species help the ecosystem by killling a certain animal. If the invasive species doesnt end up eating it, decomposers will decompose it and therefore make more soil/dirt for the environment. Also, if they keep eating a certain organism then the organism that eats that organism can learn how to adapt into eating a healthier species of organisms, or they could move to a new area bringing more life to it. Hope that helped! And hopefully you get what i'm trying to say.

Anna [14]
Yes, it’s possible. The genetic that they give out to their children depends. If the parents gives out the genes for colorblind for the daughter but not the son, it’s possible.

It’s just like having a child with disabilities and another child that is perfectly healthy.

Which form of succession replaces
an
existing system after a calamity?
lina2011 [118]

Answer:

Secondary succession

Explanation:

Ecological succession is the term used to describe any series of change in the composition of an ecosystem over a particular period of time. Ecological succession is made up of two types viz: primary succession and secondary succession.

Primary succession involves the formation of a brand new ecosystem by the colonization of a barren area of land e.g bare rock, where no life existed. Secondary succession, on the other hand, is the recolonization of an area by a new set of organisms because the previously existing organisms have been wiped out by certain disasters e.g fire outbreak, hurricanes etc. In secondary succession, there is soil, which makes it possible for new organisms to sprout quickly after the calamity.

Example of secondary succession is when a fire outbreak burns the organisms in a community, allowing the root of grasses to sprout after.
