Here the genetic engineering using insulin gene is done.

Explanation:

Genetic engineering is the process by which an eukaryotic gene is isolated and is attached with a plasmid and inserted into the bacterial cells for the production of that protein and further utilisation of that protein. A plasmid is the extranuclear DNA that is present in some bacteria.

Here the insulin gene is isolated from the human cell, then it's attached with the bacterial plasmid and inserted in the fresh bacteria. This will lead to production of Insulin. This insulin is extracted, purified and can be used to treat diabetes mellitus. Thus, this is an example of Genetic Engineering.

The land on the leeward side of a mountain range is in a rain shadow.
(True or False question)
Dmitry [639]
The Leeward side of a mountain range is in fact in a rain shadow. A rain shadow is an area of elevation where little to no rain falls, due to precipitation being forced out of passing clouds on the windward side of the mountain. Precipitation condenses as clouds rise over the mountain, and in general it precipitates as it crests over the mountain, leaving no moisture for the leeward side. An example of this is the American west, just west of the Rockies, where little to no rain falls.
