A story presented as a play is the answer, that’s the only possible adaptation from the choices. a movie review and literary analysis are talking about a piece of work, they aren’t reinventing it or drawing inspiration from it or using the story on a new kind of media. a story in its original form can’t be an adaptation of itself. hope this helps!

n the quotation, "Language exerts hidden power, like the moon on the tides" by Rita Mae Brown, what does the word "exerts" mean?
Andru [333]
'Exert' means to apply force on influence over something else, this can be in a negative or positive way. In this quotation, it means that language, if used correctly, has the ability to express a 'hidden power'. It's also worth mentioning that the simile is relevant as the moon has an influence on the level of tides on Earth.

Read this line from Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven":
gogolik [260]

The correct answer is C. AH, disTINCtly I reMEMber IT was IN the BLEAK DeCEMber.

Edgar Allan Poe's poem, "The Raven," is written in the trochaic octameter. Let us break down what that means:

1. trochaic - this refers to the meter of the poem, trochee. Trochee is the type of meter which consists of two syllables, where the first one is stressed (written in capital letters), and the second one is unstressed (written in lower letters), like in option C

2. octameter - this refers to the number of syllables within the entire line. Octa means eight, and one meter consists of two syllables, so if you multiply those two, you will get the exact number of syllables in one line, which is sixteen.
