The formula to find the volume of cylinder is

\pi r^{2} h

The radius of cylinder = 2 in

Height of the cylinder = 3 in

Substituting the values of r = 2 & h = 3

We get

Volume of cylinder

\pi2^{2}  (3)= 12\pi

The formula to find the volume of cone is

\frac{1}{3}\pi   r^{2} h

The radius of the cone is given as 3 inches

Substituting in the formula we get

\frac{1}{3} \pi  3^{2}h= 3\pi  h

But the volumes are given equal

So

3\pi h= 12\pi

Dividing by 3\pi on both sides

we get

h = 4

The height of the cone is 4 inches.

Solve this equation and describe the steps you took.<br> 4( x + 7) = 38
Nikitich [7]

Answer:

x = 2.5

Step-by-step explanation:

4( x + 7) = 38

step 1 distribute the 4 to the x and 7

4 * x = 4x

4 * 7 = 28

we now have 4x + 28 = 38

step 2 subtract 28 from each side

28 - 28 cancels out

38 - 28 = 10

we now have 4x = 10

step 3 divide each side by 4

4x / 4 = x

10 / 4 = 2.5

we're left with x = 2.5

A recipe for nut bread calls for 2/4 cup of walnuts and 1/6 cup of pecans. What is
sashaice [31]

Answer:

\frac{2}{3}

Step-by-step explanation:

The question above is answered below.

\frac{2}{4}  +  \frac{1}{6}

Take the LCM of the denominators and simplify. The LCM is 12.

\frac{6 + 2}{12}

To get 6 + 2 above, we divide 12 by 4 which equals 3 then multiply 3 by 2, total 6. Similarly to get 2, we say 13 divided by 2, equals 2; 2 times 1 equals 2.

=   \frac{8}{12}

The fraction above has to be simplified to reduced form. Thus the answer below.

=  \frac{2}{3}

Therefore, the total amount of walnuts and pecans needed for the recipe is 2/3.
