Perimeter:

400cm + 10m + 10m + 700cm + 68m+ 34m+ 17\pim + 33m =

17\pim + 166m =

219.41m

Area:

(4m * 10m) + (68m * 33m) + (17 * 17 * \pi * 0.5) =

2737.96m^{2}

Answer:

Area=2578m2

Perimeter= 929m

Step-by-step explanation:

So because this is a irregular shape try to divide it into regular shapes. I see 2 rectangles meaning what you should do is find the area of the two rectangles and add it together. So for the first rectangle, multiply LxW which is 68x33=2178m2. Then for the second rectangle you need to convert cm into m by doing that you take the hidden decimal at the end of the number 4000 and move the decimal to the left 2 times giving you a number of 40m. Now multiply 40x10=400. Finally add 400+2178 giving you a final area of 2578m2. For perimeter you have to add up the numbers by adding numbers to make a whole number, for example instead of having 68 at the top you add 10 to fill the whole line. 78+68+40+10+700+33 to give you a final answer of 929m

Need help with the second part:
MaRussiya [10]

Answer:

  3.27 meters

Step-by-step explanation:

The given equation gives a y(0) = 0, for the deflection of 3 cm. Then for a deflection of 2.5 cm, we want y(x) = 0.005, half a centimeter above the low point on the beam. Using this value, we can solve for x:

  0.005 = 3/6400x^2

  32/3 = x^2

  4√(2/3) = x ≈ 3.26599 ≈ 3.27 . . . . meters

The deflection of the beam is 2.5 cm at a distance of 3.27 meters from center.
