Is the angle sum and the interior angle sum the same thing? Can someone please explain what they are?

Angle sum is the sum of all angles (exterior and interior) while interior angle sum is sum of all interior angles.

For example a square has an interior angle sum of 90° + 90° + 90° + 90° = 360° since all his interior angles measure 90° and there are only 4 of them.

It's total sum of angles is much bigger (interior + exterior angle sum)

The exterior angle sum of an square is 4 × (360 - 90°) = 1080° and you must add the interior angle sum which is 360° so we have 1080° + 360° = 1440° and that is the total angle sum.

As you can see the interior and total sum of angles are different in size and therefore are a different things.

Hope this helps.

Plz help me solve this
Nady [450]

Answer:

c = 9.43 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, we want to get the measure of the missing side

By the use of Pythagoras’ theorem, the square of the hypotenuse equals the sum of the squares of the two other sides

we have this as follows;

The side c represents the hypotenuse as it faces the hypotenuse

We have this as;

c^2 = 5^2 + 8^2

c^2 = 25 + 64

c^2 = 89

c = √89

c = 9.43 cm

3/4 of a number is 27. What’s the number?
Artyom0805 [142]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer:

36

Discussion:

From the problem statement

(3/4) x = 27

where "x" is the number to be found.

Multiply both side of the above equation by (4/3):

(4/3)(3/4)x = 27 (4/3) =>                            as (4/3)(3/4) = 1

1x = 27 * 4/3 = 108/3 = 36

Thank you,

MrB

In the diagram, A||B and B||C. Find the values of X.
Airida [17]

Answer:

31

Step-by-step explanation:

3x + 12 and 105 are alternate exterior angles because A || B and B || C.

If the two or more lines are parallel, then the alternate exterior angles are equal.

3x + 12 = 105

Substract 12 on both sides,

3x = 105 - 12

3x = 93

Divide 3 on both sides,

x = 93 / 3

x = 31
