Answer:

Part 1) The perimeter of the park is P=52\ yd

Part 2) The area of the park is A=137\ yd^2

Step-by-step explanation:

see the attached figure to better understand the problem

Part 1) Find the perimeter pf the park

we know that

The perimeter of the figure is the sum of its six length sides (see the figure)

so

P=17+5+4+4+(17-4)+9\\P=52\ yd

Part 2) Find the area of the park

The area of the park is equal to the area of two rectangles

The area of rectangle is equal to

A=bh

substitute the values

A=13(9)+4(5)

A=117+20

A=137\ yd^2

Trenton and Maria record how much dry food their pets eat on average each day.• Trenton's pet: 4/5 cup of dry food• Maria's pet:
Phoenix [80]

6.3 many more cups of dry food will Maria's pet have eaten than Trenton's pet will have eaten over 2 seven-day weeks

<u>Step-by-step explanation:</u>

We have , Trenton and Maria record how much dry food their pets eat on average each day.• Trenton's pet: 4/5 cup of dry food• Maria's pet: 1.25 cups of dry food. Based on these averages . We need to find  how many more cups of dry food will Maria's pet have eaten than Trenton's pet will have eaten over 2 seven-day weeks . We need to find how much they eat for 14 days as:

Trenton's pet: 4/5 cup of dry food•

With 4/5 per day , for 14 days :

⇒ 14(\frac{4}{5} )

⇒ 14(0.8 )

⇒ 11.2

Maria's pet: 1.25 cups of dry food.

With 1.25 per day , for 14 days :

⇒ 14(1.25 )

⇒ 17.5

Subtracting Maria's - Trenton's :

⇒ 17.5-11.2=6.3

That means , 6.3 many more cups of dry food will Maria's pet have eaten than Trenton's pet will have eaten over 2 seven-day weeks

Answer:

f(x) =  {sec}^{ - 1} x \\ let \: y = {sec}^{ - 1} x  \rightarrow \: x = sec \: y\\  \frac{dx}{dx}  =  \frac{d(sec \: y)}{dx}  \\ 1 = \frac{d(sec \: y)}{dx} \times  \frac{dy}{dy}  \\ 1 = \frac{d(sec \: y)}{dy} \times  \frac{dy}{dx}  \\1 = tan \: y.sec \: y. \frac{dy}{dx}  \\ \frac{dy}{dx} =  \frac{1}{tan \: y.sec \: y}  \\ \frac{dy}{dx} =  \frac{1}{ \sqrt{( {sec}^{2}   \: y - 1}) .sec \: y}  \\ \frac{dy}{dx} =  \frac{1}{ |x |  \sqrt{ {x }^{2}  - 1} } \\   \therefore  \frac{d( {sec}^{ - 1}x) }{dx}  =  \frac{1}{ |x |  \sqrt{ {x }^{2}  - 1} } \\ \frac{d( {sec}^{ - 1}5x) }{dx}  =  \frac{1}{ |5x |  \sqrt{25 {x }^{2}  - 1} }\\\\y=arccos(\frac{1}{x})\Rightarrow cosy=\frac{1}{x}\\x=secy\Rightarrow y=arcsecx\\\therefore \frac{d( {sec}^{ - 1}x) }{dx}  =  \frac{1}{ |x |  \sqrt{ {x }^{2}  - 1} }
