Blues refer to secular folk music which originated in the Deep South created by the African Americans in the early 20th century. Blue songs are in form of lyrics and the singers usually express or show their feelings. It includes work songs, chants, spirituals and so on. The singers usually express emotion of sadness or melancholy.
