Diffusion

Explanation:

Diffusion is the movement of molecules of a substance from one position to another. Diffusion is fastest in gases and very slow in liquids. It hardly occurs in solids but can be influenced at high temperatures.

The process by which carbon enters water and aquatic plants is simply by diffusion of carbon dioxide into water bodies. When carbon dioxide moves into water, they dissolve in them.

Carbon dioxide can enter plants through stomata openings in the stem and leaves.
