Correct answer: C). Pharynx

First of all, air enters through the nose via the nostrils. Nasal cavities consist of hair and mucus. Air is filtered through these hairs and the temperature changes according to the body temperature.

After that, the air passes through the pharynx, which removes germs. Then it passes through the larynx and then into the trachea. The trachea is further divided into two bronchi, each bronchi leads to lung. In the trachea the air is filtered out again by the action of mucus.

Hence, the correct answer would be option C.

Identify the process used to form the covalent peptide bonds that join amino acids into a polypeptide.
kvasek [131]

Answer:

Peptide bonds are formed by hydrolysis or losing a water (H₂O)

Explanation:

Two or more amino acids are linked by forming peptide bonds, and then eventually form polypeptides. These peptide bonds are covalent in nature and require water. an amino group and a carboxyl group to form. These components then undergo hydrolysis to form long-chain amino acids.

The sequence of the amino acid chain starts with the α-amino group residue and with an α-carboxyl group as the terminal residue. This chain is also known as the primary structure of the protein molecule.

Explain how environmental contaminants make their way into and through the food chain.
julsineya [31]
Environmental contaminants make their way into lakes, rivers, and groundwater and many other places. Animals drink that water. Our crops absorb that water that seeps into the soil, those crops are consumed by animals and humans. Therefore those animals are contaminated with whatever contaminant they consumed. In return those animals are ingested by the predator that consumes it therefore passing through the food chain.

Zoology is very relevant to industries.. but I am afraid there are no direct relationships among them. One is a subject and other is for minting money. If you ask relationship between zoologist and industry it would be appropriate. Well zoology as a subject has been providing ideas to generate multiple raw materials and even helping farmers. There is a special branch called as economic zoology. Read a few books on them and you can have more information regarding this.
