The process of life which involves obtaining material and changing into useful forms is metabolism.
We can define metabolism as it is a chemical reaction or process in which food is converted in to energy, it maintain the living state of cells and the organism. Digestion, transport of substances to the cells and between the cells are also in metabolism.
