It's simple, first, we use add the same number to the two members
(y - 19) + 19 = (42) + 19
2: we solve the parenthesis
( + 19 -19 = 0)
and
(42  + 19 = 61)
3: we solve the equation
y = 61

Write an equation for a line thst is perpendicular to the line given by x=5 and passes through 1,0
earnstyle [38]

Answer:

The equation of this line would be y = 0.

Step-by-step explanation:

In order to find this, we must first note that this is a vertical line (x = 5). Since it is vertical, we know the perpendicular line is horizontal. All horizontal lines are written in the form of y = (a number). Given that we have a y value in the ordered pair, we simply plug that in for what y is equal to.

y = 0

PSYCHO15rus [73]

Answer:

4. The relationship is proportional because, for every 12 students, there is one chaperone and when you multiply 12 by the number of chaperones you get the same numbers that the table shows.

1. the relationship is proportional.

45/1= 45

45/2 = 90

45/3 = 135

45/3 = 180

2. the constant of 2 is 10. the constant of 3 is 2.

the relationship between x and y is that x divided by y equals the constant.

4. x divided by y equals the constant, or

x÷y=c(constant)

hope that helps and sorry for taking so long

A fish population in a lake decreases by 2% each year. What is the common ratio? (Write your answer as a decimal)
galina1969 [7]

Answer:

the common ratio is 0.98.

Step-by-step explanation:

A fish population in a lake decreases by 2% each year. We are asked to find the common ratio.

The decrease of population of fish 2% annually means the population becomes next year 100% - 2% = 98%

Therefore, the common ratio would be 98%. Upon converting 98 percent to a decimal we will get,

98% = \frac{98}{100}=0.98

Therefore, the common ratio or decay factor is 0.98.
