A work of literature must provide more than factual accuracy or vivid physical reality . . . it must tell us more than we alread
yKpoI14uk [10]
I agree with the quotation. Literature should not be all about sound facts nor is it about fantasies. It must lie in between. We each have our own levels of understanding and our own personal fantasies. A work of literature must provides us with something new in order for the time spent in consuming it be worthwhile. The Book Thief tells us of hard facts but it also provides us with something else, how a life of young child harboring a wanted man is changed after the fact. In the Lord of the Rings, a fantasy world is so vivid and wide that you yourself can navigate through it.

Which features of epic poetry does this passage
brilliants [131]

Passage: At four hundred miles they stopped to eat,

at a thousand miles they pitched their camp.

They had traveled for just three days and nights,

a six weeks' journey for ordinary men.

When the sun was setting, they dug a well,

they filled their waterskins with fresh water,

Gilgamesh climbed to the mountain top

-Gilgamesh: A New English Translation,

Stephen Mitchell

Answer:a vast setting, a hero with great strength  and

a narrative voice(that should be in the answer options)

Explanation:

  • Vast Setting is the action that is considering cosmological and geographical space in literature such as: sea, across the land, thru time and more.
  • We can see in this passage that the character is having great strength since he can climb up to the mountain top and his travel lasted longer that is would last by the ordinary people.
  • A narrative voice is the voice which is showing us in what perspective is the story told and a narrative voice is always having important affect on the story.
