Answer: Equation of reflected ray is

B y+x=6

The point that does not lie on the reflected ray is :D -2,-8

Step-by-step explanation:

The  equation of incident ray is y-x=4 .The equation can be written as y=x+4.

The slope of line is m=1 .Any reflected ray will be perpendicular to the incident ray.Slope of line perpendicular to line y-x= 4 is m=-1.( slope of perpendicular line is reciprocal with opposite sign).

The reflected ray is having a slope of m=-1 and passing through the point (1,5)

Equation of line in point slope form is y-5=-1(x-1)

Or y-5=-x+1

y+x=6.

The point that does lie on the reflected ray is :D (-2,-8)

as if =-2 and y=-8 then

y+x=-2-8=-10 which is not true as the equation of reflected ray is y+x=6.

Other points are true for y+x=6.

As A)(2,4) we have 2+4=6 True

B)(4,2) we have 4+2=6.True.

c) (8,-2) we have 8-2=6.True.

Karen purchased a used vehicle that depreciates under a straight line method the initial value if the car is 4400 and the salvag
emmasim [6.3K]
It is expected to depreciate from 4400 to 800 in 6 years. The depreciation per year is the ratio
depreciation per year = (total depreciation) / (number of years)

The total depreciation is the change in value, so the depreciation per year is
  (4400 - 800)/6 = 600

Karen expects the vehicle to depreciate by 600 each year.
