The Mongols mainly controlled China through battles with other powers. The Mongols invaded other countries and nations as well. The Mongols were also able to extend trade the west and east of China, something China couldn't really manage before. K. Khan believed that the Chinese people might try to overthrow him or seize his power, something he couldn't have. The Mongol rule was a double-edged sword for China as it extended China's trade, resources, and strength but it also near the end of the Mongol empire caused a civil war between Khan's descendants.
