Enlightened despots held that royal power emanated not from divine right but from social contract whereby a despot was entrusted with the power to govern in lieu of any other governments.

How might you account for the immense religious and political/military success of islam in its early centuries?
Drupady [299]
Islam varied greatly from Christianity and Buddhism since its founder was a religious figure as well as a political and military pioneer. In addition, from the start the Islamic community got itself constituted as a state. Along these lines, Islam did not create as plainly characterized a partition amongst church and state as did both Christianity and Buddhism. There were a few similitudes in their religious viewpoints: every one of the three religions were established by single historical figures who had intense religious experiences; each of the three give an unmistakable way to salvation; and each of the three announce the equality of all believers. however, Islam's origination of monotheism was more grounded than that of Christianity; and every religion was shaped to some extent by the social conventions in which it developed.

What means did the Roman Empire use to grow? (4 points)
Ainat [17]
As we know....the Roman Empire was very, very successful.....but if we look closely; I believe it's quite easy to distinguish by which means the Roman Empire used to grow. Rome just loved to war aka conquest other countries...it would use its resources and force them to pay tributaries (payment to the person whom conquered them). They had an incredibly good army..their military techniques were incredibly smart..and they also had war machines; which greatly contributed to their power on the battlefield. As far as I know, Rome rarely made alliances and agreements...Christianity was after the fall of Rome.

This being said to expand and grow, it's quite obvious that the Roman Empire went on conquests and war to expand and thrive. Alas, all Empires fall...as did the might Roman Empire.

Thus, your answer.
