Sonia, who is approaching her third birthday, has always been a small child. It's not surprising since both of her parents are r

ather short and of a delicate stature. She has been in the 10th percentile for both length-for-age and weight-for-age since birth. What is Sonia’s expected weight on her third birthday if she is maintaining her growth pattern? The growth charts can be accessed at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website or under Hints B1 and B2. Round the weight to the nearest half pound (for example, 22, 22.5, 23, 23.5, etc.).

A premature newborn weighing 1950 grams has an order to receive 25 ml fortified human breast milk by gavage tube every 3 hours.
brilliants [131]

Answer:

6.76 ounces daily.

Explanation:

There are 0.0338 ounces in 1 ml of the fluid.

So the calculation is as follows.

Ounces in 1 ml of fortified human breast milk = 0.0338

The amount in ml of fortified human breast milk recieved by a premature newborn every 3 hour = 25 ml

Total hours in one day = 24

The amount in ml of fortified human breast milk recieved by a premature newborn every day = 8 * 25 = 200 ml

(As 3 hrs is multiplied by 8 to make it 24 hrs (a day))

The amount in ounces of fortified human breast milk recieved by a premature newborn every day = 200 ml * 0.0338 = 6.76 ounces.

(As 1 ml contains 0.0338 ounces)

Hence the baby will recieve 6.76 ounces of milk each day.

What is the role of a system plays in preventing a pandemic outbreak and how access to additional resources may assist public he
stich3 [128]

Answer:

A pandemia, is a very serious public health issue that is defined as the uncontrolled spread of a pathogen through a very extensive portion of the population, across a country, a region, and even the world. One such pandemic is the influenza pandemic.

In order to be able to prevent such a disease from further spreading, and causing casualties, the placing of systems, a system of response, a system of prevention, precaution, and even intervention, is really important, and vital, to ensure first, the prevention of new cases, second, the treatment of those that are already suffering from the disease, and third, to contain the spreading from further reaching out. The players in these systems are first, and foremost, the national governments, and all such authority entities, in a country, and around the world. They are the ones who establish the policies, protocols and take the necessary actions to stop a pandemic from either happening, or from getting worse, if it has already struck. Second to the government, are the healthcare entities and organizations, which are the ones with the necessary knowledge and capabilities to bring about the execution of the necessary measures to respond to a pandemic.

After these, lay the public at large, all players in a system that will form a sort of chain to stop pandemics from causing further damage.

One way of preventing an outbreak, like that of the influenza, comes with campaign systems, in which the public, and healthcare professionals, are educated on how to prevent a disease, how to manage it if it already has appeared, and how to stop its spreading to other members of the community.

With access to the necessary funding, and especially to resources, public health leaders may ensure that the necessary measures are being taken so that pandemics may not arise, or if they do, they are short-lived and do not cause so many casualties.

The values obtained when taking blood pressure, such as 120/80,
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

The correct answer will be option B.

Explanation:

Blood pressure represents the pressure of the blood in the major arteries of the body.

This blood pressure increases in the arteries when the ventricle contracts to push the blood to the major artery by a mechanism called ventricular systole. This increased blood pressure number is known as systolic blood pressure which is usually 180 mm of Hg.

The blood pressure decrease in the artery due to ventricular diastole during which ventricles relaxes. This lower number of blood pressure is known as diastolic blood pressure which is 80 mm of Hg.

Thus, option B is the correct answer.
