The definition of homeostasis is to maintain balance of something, so in a living organism, the body is trying to maintain a constant temperature to stay alive. Therefore, when the weather is cold, the body will react and start shivering to create heat, and when it is hot outside, the body will produce sweat, to help the body cool down from overheating.

Was finishing up breakfast in New York when my dad sent me a text message. He was ready to die, and he needed me to help.
The request left me shaken, but that’s different than saying it came as a shock. I’d begun to grasp that something was really wrong 10 months before, in May 2019, when he’d come to California from Maine. He was there to meet his first granddaughter, Fern, to whom I’d recently given birth. But he couldn’t bend down to pick her up. He was having trouble walking, and he spoke of the future in uncharacteristically dark terms. We’d traveled to see him in Maine four times

Tema [17]

Growth hormones are secreted and controlled by the Neuroendocrine reflexes, whereas, Insulin secretion is controlled by negative feedback mechanisms.

The Growth hormones is being controlled by, two types of Neuroendocrine systems as;

 • The Growth hormone releasing hormone, (GHRH) neurons and
 • The somatostatin neurons, is responsible for stimulation and inhibition of GH secretion.

Negative Feedback mechanisms, these occurs whenever the original effect of the stimulus is reduced by the output. These are responsible for, normalizing events, whenever the environment becomes extreme.

For example; insulin, and the thyroid gland is also regulated by these mechanisms.

Chemotherapy is a form of anti-cancer treatment that uses one or more anti-cancer drugs as part of standard chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is medicine that uses powerful chemicals to kill rapidly growing cells in your body. Chemotherapy is most often used to treat cancer because cancer cells grow and multiply much faster than most cells in the body. There are many different chemotherapy drugs available.

Chemotherapy drugs kill cancer cells by preventing their growth and reproduction. When cells cannot grow and reproduce, they usually die. Some chemotherapy drugs work at a specific stage of the cell cycle.
