Answer:

The Blithedale Romance.

Explanation:

Nathaniel Hawthorne had been one of the founding members of the utopian experimental existence of "Brook farm". But with the differing ideals about the community and about the place, he left dissatisfied.

Fictionalizing his life and experience in this place, he wrote "The Blithedale Romance" where he criticizes the utopian ideals of this community that he had once been a part of. This novel is part romance, part mystery and details the encounters of the protagonist Miles Coverdale during his stay in Blithedale Farm. Meeting numerous other characters who had came to the retreat to get away from a society they think is rotten, Miles then became disillusioned with their hypocritical life and contradictions.

patriot [66]

A person who feels very good after receiving a compliment, but very bad after being insulted, would sore high on measures of "self-esteem variability".

The connection of self-esteem variability to identity, state of mind, and conduct was explored. Self-esteem variability was estimated by figuring the standard deviation of self-appraisals made amid seven days of experience-examining. Members high in self-esteem variability were reluctant, socially on edge, and avoidant of social settings. Confidence fluctuation was mostly free of the theoretically comparative attribute of affect-intensity.
