Answer:

because popular sovereignty means the rule of the common people and not that of the ruler.

Explanation:

The concept of popular sovereignty is one of the fundamental tenets of the Social Contract that the basis of governmental legitimacy (sovereignty) lies with the (popular) people. This theory is based on the notion that governmental authority should exist for the good of the citizen of the government. And if it fails at this purpose it should be dissolved immediately.

Answer:

The woman as able to obtain jobs and achieve a higher degree of independency.

Explanation:

The second industrial revolution happened during 1870 to 1920. This Industrial revolution was marked by inventions such as the Steam Engine. Socially, the WWI was the most important event during this time.

In this scenario there are two factors that contributed to the development of new roles for women. First, the increase of production outputs. As Manufacture increased the labor needed in factories was not 100% satisfy by men. Therefore, women were able to take on more jobs. Actually, even for some countries the employment of children was a phenomenon rather normal even thought it was illegal.

Second, the war decreased the number of man available for performing jobs. Then Women must work in order to help producing the supplies for the war.
