The answer is 70 miles.

If we express distances as following:
T - total distance
a - distance from <span>San Antonio to Austin
b - </span>distance from <span>Austin to Waco
c - </span>distance from <span>Waco to Dallas
Then:
T = 280 mi
b = a - 30 mi        </span>⇒ a = b + 30<span>
b = c + 20 mi       </span>⇒ c = b - 20<span>

T = a + b + c
</span>⇒ a + b + c = 280
⇒ b + 30 + b + b - 20 = 280
⇒ 3b +10 = 280
⇒ 3b = 280 - 10
⇒ 3b = 270
⇒ b = 90 mi.

Distance from <span>Waco to Dallas is c.
</span><span>c = b - 20
</span>⇒ c = 90 - 20
⇒ c = 70 mi

Therefore, distance from <span>Waco to Dallas is 70 miles.</span>

Aya spent her allowance on playing an arcade game a few times and riding the Ferris wheel more than once. Write about what addit
Nastasia [14]
You would need to know how much the arcade game cost and how much the Ferris wheel cost then let x represent the amount of times she played the arcade game and let y represent how many times she rode the ferris wheel.
once given the x and y you could figure out how much money she spent all together.

In △XYZ, m∠Z = 34, x = 61 cm, and z = 42 cm. Find m∠X. Round your answer to the nearest tenth of a degree.
Elza [17]
M∠X = 54.3°.

Using the Law of Sines, we have:
\frac{\sin{Z}}{z}=\frac{\sin{X}}{x}&#10;\\&#10;\\\frac{\sin{34}}{42}=\frac{\sin{X}}{61}

Cross multiplying gives us
61(sin 34) = 42(sin X)

Divide both sides by 42:
(61(sin 34))/42 = (42(sin X))/42
(61(sin 34))/42 = sin X

Take the inverse sine of both sides:
sin⁻¹((61(sin 34))/42) = sin⁻¹(sin X)
54.3 = X

Alonzo and miguel scored a total of 54 points in the basketball game. Miguel scored four more points than alonzo
pychu [463]
Lets call a to the Alonzo amount of points and m to the Miguel amount of points and write equations out of the problem's info:
a + m = 54
m = a + 4
rearrange:
<span> a + m = 54
</span>-a + m = 4
add the two equations:
<span> a + m = 54
</span><span>-a + m = 4
</span>-----------------
0 + 2m = 58
m = 29
and susbstitute in the first equation:
<span>a + m = 54
</span>a + 29 = 54
a = 54 - 29
a = 25
therefore Alonzo scores 25 points and Mike 29
