A citation<span> is usually placed at the </span>end<span> of a sentence or after the quotation where there is a pause in the sentence (such as before a comma or semicolon). </span>When citing<span> at the </span>end<span> of the sentence, the </span>end<span>period comes after the parentheses.</span>
