Please help me i don’t understand
Eddi Din [679]
1. Biogeography, the study of the geographic distribution of plants, animals, and other forms of life. It is concerned not only with habitation patterns but also with the factors responsible for variations in distribution.

2. weathering and other natural forces break down the substrate, rock, enough for the establishment of certain hearty plants and lichens with few soil requirements, known as pioneer species. These species help to further break down the mineral-rich lava into soil where other, less hardy species can grow and eventually replace the pioneer species. In addition, as these early species grow and die, they add to an ever-growing layer of decomposing organic material and contribute to soil formation. This process repeats multiple times during succession. At each stage, new species move into an area, often due to changes to the environment made by the preceding species, and may replace their predecessors. At some point, the community may reach a relatively stable state and stop changing in composition. However, it's unclear if there is always—or even usually—a stable endpoint to succession.

3. I don’t have the video so I’m going to take. Wild guess. Just look up types of finches

4. Broadly speaking, different species are unable to interbreed and produce healthy, fertile offspring due to barriers called mechanisms of reproductive isolation.
These barriers can be split into two categories based on when they act: prezygotic and postzygotic.

I tried my best hope this helps :)

What happens in your body to cause you to get a fever?
andriy [413]

The presence of a fever is usually related to stimulation of the body's immune response. Fever can support the immune system's attempt to gain advantage over infectious agents, such as viruses and bacteria, and it makes the body less favorable as a host for replicating viruses and bacteria, which are temperature sensitive. Infectious agents are not the only causes of fever, however. Amphetamine abuse and alcohol withdrawal can both elicit high temperatures, for example. And environmental fevers--such as those associated with heat stroke and related illnesses--can also occur.

The hypothalamus, which sits at the base of the brain, acts as the body's thermostat. It is triggered by floating biochemical substances called pyrogens, which flow from sites where the immune system has identified potential trouble to the hypothalamus via the bloodstream. Some pyrogens are produced by body tissue; many pathogens also produce pyrogens. When the hypothalamus detects them, it tells the body to generate and retain more heat, thus producing a fever. Children typically get higher and quicker fevers, reflecting the effects of the pyrogens upon an inexperienced immune system.

(This is about DNA)
n200080 [17]

Answer:

B. 20%

Explanation:

The complementary base-pairing rule states that Adenine always pairs with Thymine (A with T), and Cytosine with Guanine (C with G).

Because of this, the amount of Adenine present must be the same as the amount of Thymine present, and the same for Cytosine and Guanine.

This means that if there is 30% Adenine, there is also 30% Thymine as each A base is paired to a T base. This adds to 60%, so Cytosine amounts and Guanine amounts must add to 40% to make 100%.

Since they are equal in amount, there must be 20% of each.

Therefore the answer is B. 20%

There is 30% Adenine, 30% Thymine, 20% Guanine and 20% Cytosine.

Hope this helped!
