1. 0 because they are nonpolar, more concentration of molecules because of a proceess called simple diffusion,

2. o because it is a form of passive energy, low concentration,

3. molecules moving, equilibrium, higher, lower

These processes are all Passive and therefore none require energy although some are different the first is the molecules that can just pass through and yea, then thefacilitated diffusion is through moleules moving because of concentration differences, then Osmosis is when molecules because of water differences.

Using its long tail and long hind legs, the Ord's kangaroo rat can jump 2 m in the air as it hops away from predators, such as s
Mrac [35]

Answer and Explanation:

a. According to Lamarck, the origin of the long hind legs of the Ord's kangaroo rat is acquired due to extensive use of the muscle legs to jump. Such physical characteristics could be transmitted to future generations. This theory is called Neo-Lamarckism.

b. Darwin, on the other hand, theorized that in a population of Ord's kangaroo rat, there was an individual whose characteristics, long tail and hind legs, had more chances of escaping its predator and, consequently, could survive and reproduce. This theory is called Darwinism.

Fill the blank
aleksandr82 [10.1K]

Answer:

Two heterozygous parents have a 50% chance of contributing one of their alleles to each offspring.

Explanation:

Individuals who are heterozygous for a specific trait have two different alleles in the gene that determines that trait. This characteristic makes their chances of contributing each of their alleles to the offspring 50%.

The alleles of a gene are distributed in the gametes by the process of meiosis, which results in daughter cells with half the genetic charge, so each gamete can only have one copy of the allelic pair of a gene.

On the other hand, if an individual has two equal alleles for a characteristic in a gene, he has a 100% chance of passing that allele on to his descendants.

The coral reefs of the Caribbean are thought to be under threat

Explanation:

Overfishing threatens over 60 percent of Caribbean coral reefs. Declines in coral cover and increases in algal cover have been observed across the region. This analysis identified about one-third of Caribbean reefs at high threat from overfishing pressure and about 30 percent at medium threat.
