Answer:

X = 66°  Y = 48°

Step-by-step explanation:

Given figure is an isosceles triangle,

Property of isosceles triangle is that its two sides are equal and angle opposite to equal sides are equal

Now from this figure, angles are given as X° , Y° , 66°

And also X° must be equal to 66°

Now from the property of any triangle, sum of all angles of triangle = 180°

SO, X° + Y° + 66° = 180

      66° + Y° + 66° = 180

      Y°  = 180 - 132°

∴     Y° = 48°

Hence X° = 66° , Y° = 48°       Answer

Mir evaluated 5x - (x + 3)2 for x = 2, as shown. Describe Amir's mistake and find the correct answer. 5(2) - (2 + 3)2 = 10 + (-5
sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:correct answer =0

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1

5x - (x + 3)2

Putting the coefficient of x =2 in the equaton we have

5(2) - (2 + 3)2

Solving out

5(2) - (5)2

= 10- 10

=0

Step 2

Amir's mistake was in the multiplication  and wrong use of the negative sign of the bolded below

5(2) - (2 + 3)2 = 10 + (-5)2 = 10 + 25 = 35

-(5)2 cannot give 25 instead 10, so him getting a 25 and wrong use of the negative and positive made his answer wrong.

The right answer as calculated in step 1 = 0

alexira [117]

Answer:

I'm not to sure, but I'll say 10.5

If you multiply 3.50 x 3 you'll get 10.5

If you add you'll get 13.5.

If it's an addition I'll recommend to go with 13.5

If it's a multiplication  I'll recommend to go with 10.5
