Answer:

i. A = 6

ii. B = 32 + 32 = 64

iii. C = 3

iv. D = 36 ÷ (6 + 5 + 2) = 2.8

v. E = (148 × 2) + (36 × 6) = 512

Step-by-step explanation:

From the given quadratic expression;

            4x^{2} -24x +7 = 3

           4x^{2} -24x +7 - 3 = 0

            4x^{2} -24x + 4 = 0

Applying the quadratic formula,

 x = (-b ± \sqrt{b^{2} - 4ac }) ÷ 2a

We have; a = 4, b = -24 and c = 4.

So that,

 x   = (- (-24)  ± \sqrt{(-24)^{2} - 4(4*4)}) ÷ 2(4)

      = (24 ± \sqrt{576 - 64}) ÷8

     = (24  ± \sqrt{512}) ÷8

    = (24 ± 22.63) ÷8

x   = (24 + 22.63) ÷8  or (24 - 22.63) ÷8

    = \frac{46.63}{8}      or   \frac{1.37}{8}

x    = 5.8 or 0.2

Therefore, x = 5.8 or x = 0.2.

From these steps and solution, A = 6, B = 64, C = 3, D = 2.8 and E = 512.

You order fourteen burritos to go from a Mexican restaurant, six with hot peppers and eight without. However, the restaurant for
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

0.578

Step-by-step explanation:

If you pick three burritos at random, find the probability of the given event. (Round your answer to three decimal places.)

Given that there are 14 orders at the ratio by of:

6 with hot peppers

8 without hot peppers

At most two have hot peppers.

Binomial Problem with n = 3 ; p(hot) = 6/8

P(0<= x <=2) = 1 - P(x = 3)

= 1 - (6/8)^3

= 1 - ( 3/4 )^3

= 1 - ( 27/64 )^3

= 1- (37/64)

= 1 - 0.421875

= 0.578125

= 0.578

Use the coordinate plane to help you identify the length of each leg then use the Pythagorean Theorem to find the length of CD
Nitella [24]

Answer:

CE= 9cm, DE= 5cm, CD= 10.2956cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Let E be the point of the other triangle.

Using Pythagoras' Theorem,

CD= square root symbol (CE^2 + DE^2)

= square root symbol (9^2+5^2)

= 10.2956cm (6 sf)
